A seasoned leader from Fortune 100 firms like JPMorgan Chase and American Express, Arthur set out to solve a problem he first encountered as a father – how to turn his daughter's dreams into a real plan. He brought with him decades of experience safeguarding people's hard-earned money through risk management and compliance, giving him a unique lens on what it takes to protect a family's most important investment: their children's future.
When my daughter, Isabella, was 11, I asked her what she wanted to do when she grew up. She said she wanted to build a spaceship that took people from Earth to Mars and beyond. Only five years prior, her answer was to be a queen.After she shared her dream, I wanted to help, but I had no idea how. Then luck intervened. At career day at her school, I ended up being placed right next to someone from NASA. A few weeks later, my daughter had a private tour of the Goddard Space Flight Center. When she got home I asked her – Isabella, do you now feel inspired to chase your dreams? She said yes, Daddy, now more than ever. But I still don’t know where to start.That’s the essence, behind DREAMSTREAM. My kids may be the lucky ones, but most families and their children are never even shown what’s possible. DREAMSTREAM is about doing everything we can to help make every child’s dream – a reality.

After 28 years at Harvard – conducting pioneering cancer research, designing academic programs in fields like AI and quantum sciences, and mentoring thousands of students as both faculty and Dean – Dr. Thomas is on a mission to ensure that every student, regardless of their zip code or background, has access to the same quality of guidance once reserved for the most privileged.
I spent 28 years at Harvard – starting as a researcher in cancer cell biology at Harvard Medical School and eventually serving as Dean at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. During that time I designed curricula in fields like AI, quantum computing, and engineering. I mentored thousands of students. And I watched, year after year, as brilliant young people arrived without any real sense of direction.The ones who thrived weren’t necessarily the smartest. They were the ones who’d had exposure – to careers, to experiences, to someone who helped them connect their curiosity to a path forward. The ones who struggled were the ones who’d never been shown what was possible.When Arthur told me what he was building, I knew this is the infrastructure that was never built. It’s the thing I wished every student who walked into Harvard already had – a foundation of exploration, experience, and self-awareness that doesn’t depend on what school you attend, what zip code you were born into, or what your family can afford.I joined DREAMSTREAM because every child deserves that foundation. Not just the ones who end up at Harvard.
